Approximately 300 guests attended an event organized by United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Lusaka on behalf of the UN Country Team to celebrate UN Day. Activities included music by the Burundian Cultural Ensemble, a song by school children and additional music by the Army Band.  An exhibition by the UN Country Team was also displayed.  The unity and diversity of the UN was displayed by way of a march of nations, in which people from various countries represented in the UN wore their traditional costumes.

The UNIC Washington Director made a presentation at the Marie Reed Institute, for which an information kit was prepared.  UNIC Washington took part in “Career Week” with a lecture about the UN.
