UNIC Prague together with a coalition of NGOs (Czechs Against Poverty) organized a "Walk the World" event in two cities, Prague and Decin, on 16 May 2007. The event was held under the auspices of the Czech Foreign Minister, the President of the Czech Olympic Committee and the UN family in the Czech Republic.
More than 1,500 participants walked in downtown Prague. Hundreds more attended the music festival after the walk on the centrally located island on the river of Vltava (the walk started and ended there).
