The UN Information Centre (UNIC) in Bujumbura assisted the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) with the launch of the 2007 State of the World Population Report. A press conference was organized at the UNIC premises on 28 June, under the patronage of the Minister of Public Works and Equipment. 60 journalists participated in the press conference. UNIC Bujumbura distributed copies of the report to all participants.
