UNIC Prague organized a ceremony entitled "The UN Alphabet: Global issues as seen by Czech students", attended by some 100 guests at the UN House. UNIC Prague compiled a list of global issues where each issue represented one letter of the alphabet (A -AIDS, B - Biodiversity, C - Civilizations, etc., with letters corresponding with the terms in Czech). Students were invited to write short stories, poems, essays about each issue, or to describe each issue through drawing, painting or photography. The best stories/artworks were selected and became part of a “UN Alphabet” publication and exhibition.
