During the seminar
On 23 September, the UN Information Centre (UNIC) Prague in collaboration with NGOs organized a seminar on human rights and people with disabilities focusing on human rights issues in development assistance.
Speakers included representatives of social, humanitarian and development NGOs and a representative of academia. An NGO representative addressed the audience on the key issues in the area of assistance to people with disabilities in developing countries.
The seminar was facilitated by UNIC Officer-in-Charge, who highlighted the outcome of the MDG Summit in New York and the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.
