The audience at CIMUN
On 9 December, the UN Information Center (UNIC) Washington Director Davis provided the keynote address to the Seventh Annual Chicago International Model UN (CIMUN), telling an audience of more than 800 high school students and their parents and faculty advisers “Why the UN Matters”.
The students were primarily from the mid-West of the United States, but included representatives from nearly all 50 states as well as some foreign countries, and travelled to Chicago, IL to participate in the four day event.
After his speech, Director Davis participated in a question and answer session addressing such issues as the Lebanon Tribunal and careers at the United Nations.
