UNIC Brazzaville: “Last Sprint to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals in 2015”

On 24 October, the UN Information Centre (UNIC) in Brazzaville held a “Stand Up Against Poverty” event under the theme “Last Sprint to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals in 2015”. Around 100 high school students gathered in the UNIC compound and watched a video titled "The UN, it's your world". Using a powerpoint presentation, the UNIC National Information Officer briefed them on the Millennium Development Goals and encouraged them to take action to eradicate extreme poverty. Students also participated in a question-and-answer session. Some gifts and party balloons were provided to the students.
