Nigeria’s Love104.5 FM to partner with UN radio

National Information Officer with the General Manager of the station

One of the foremost radio stations in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, Love 104.5 FM, has indicated its willingness to partner with the United Nations radio for content production and sharing. This indication was given by the General Manager of the station, Mr Samuel Akpan during the visit of the National Information Officer of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Lagos, Oluseyi Soremekun to the station.

Explaining the UN Radio content, the National Information Officer said that UN Radio news features and analyses cover a variety of social, political, economic, development and cultural issues involving the UN and its work. Soremekun added that UN Radio content could be adapted to suit local audiences worldwide.

Radio Partnership

In his response, the General Manager expressed his appreciation of the visit and the offer of partnership by the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC). He acknowledged that the partnership when fully consummated, would add value to the station, its staff, content and audience.

Copies of the Basic Facts about the United Nations 2014, the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Africa Renewal and the International Days Posters were presented to the station.
